Mike Crossley Consult Ltd is specialised in the design of glass and associated metal work for a number of prestigious companies.
We are the retained glass and specialist materials consultant for British Airport Authority (BAA). Consultants to Exxon Mobil, 3M, London Underground Ltd (LUL) and are the retained Glazing consultant for Ellmer Construction, responsible for a number of innovative designs. These range from Anti-terrorism Glazing to multi story car parks, glazed bridges and walkways, where we are responsible for the design and testing of the glass and supporting metal work.
The specialist glass and glazing solutions that are offered by glazing companies will often require adaptation and/or modification to meet an interface with a particular building. This can involve specialist design calculations with varying degrees of freedom but is often assisted by practical knowledge of structures, specialist materials, performance of fixings and loading data. We enable the client to install the chosen product within a building safely and within the current legislation.
If the required system fails to meet these requirements we offer alternative solutions and can design a bespoke product. We also suggest manufacturing specialists who are capable of manufacturing and assembling individual components or products and if necessary offer a complete turnkey service.
